S. Heaney Marine Construction Inc. has years of experience in building many different types of docks, from small local bridge projects to dock repair after hurricane damage in the Florida Keys. We have built countless docks on the North Fork, South Fork, and Shelter Island. We have experience in building several styles of floating docks. As a full service marine construction company, we provide seasonal maintenance (winterization) and removal of floats, ladders, and seasonal ("stick") docks; we also provide service and installation Ice Eaters. S. Heaney Marine understands the environmental impact construction has, to meet strict guidelines, in several situations we have built docks using indigenous materials such as Locust, Oak, and Cedar. There are many different construction materials and designs of docks, and all must meet permit criteria in your respective jurisdiction. With our knowledge in design and construction we can handle everything from the preliminary permit stages to construction.
